Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Mia Jung is a designer whose practice bridges art and function, memory and material. Grounded in a foundation of fine art from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, she approaches design with an instinct for balance and a deep respect for cultural memory reinterpreted through contemporary expression.
Her career began in the world of high-end interiors, working with celebrated designer Victoria Hagan before joining Kligerman Architecture & Design (formerly Ike Kligerman Barkley), where she served for over two decades as Director of Interiors. There, she refined a mastery of spatial dialogue, proportion, and timeless form—skills that continue to inform her current practice. In 2024, she launched her own studio, marking a new chapter dedicated to creating work that is both deeply personal and functionally resonant.
Today, Jung’s focus extends beyond interiors to the creation of collectible design and art furniture. Her Cloud Console and Cloud Mirror have become highly collected works, found in important private collections around the world. Drawing subtly from her Korean heritage while embracing a globally attuned aesthetic, she produces pieces defined by precision, poetic tension, and material refinement. Her work has been exhibited internationally at Salon Art & Design, PAD London, Design Miami, and Collect Art Fair. At once architectural and tactile, elevated yet intimate, her designs invite both contemplation and use, occupying a space where design becomes enduring art.
