Studio Furthermore

Home to artists Marina Dragomirova & Iain Howlett, Studio Furthermore seeks out new kinds of material and cultural realities informed by processes occurring in nature. Having met at the Royal College of Art the studio was founded in Shoreditch in 2015. Studio Furthermore creates editioned design pieces in glass, ceramic, metal, Lava and other materials blending aspects of craft with future narratives. Characteristically the studio engages at a material level to develop a process from which design narratives are realized.

Studio Furthermore's work is held in the permanent collections of the Vitra Design Museum, the MAK Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna, and CID Grand-Hornu in Belgium. Their Moon Rock project will be permanently installed on the Moon via the Moon Gallery, in collaboration with the European Space Agency.

Their work has recently been presented at PAD London, Design Miami, and Salon Art + Design in New York. It has been featured in hardback publications such as New Wave Clay (Frame) and Why Materials Matter (Prestel) and highlighted in The Financial Times Sunday edition in an article titled Radical Materials. They are also featured in the documentary Materials: The Making of Ceramic and were named to the prestigious AD100 Best Designers list.
