DEGLAN was established by the artist-architect duo Domenic Degner and Falko Landenberger. Hailing from Berlin and Heidelberg, and sharing a background in architectural education, their bond has naturally evolved into a symbiotic design language, the hallmark of which is the amalgamation of organic, often imperfect or asymmetric forms - a nod to the irregularities found in nature - with flawlessly finished surfaces that lend an understated elegance to each piece. The studio is centred on working with wood and its varieties, with a special focus on finishing techniques such as Japanese shou sugi ban charring and the Italian stucco application of plaster in various forms, leveraging the base material's versatility to shape functional objects and sculptures that exhibit intricate forms and exceptional depth and texture.  Each piece is handcrafted by them in their Berlin-based workshop for an internationally acclaimed clientele.
