"What inspires me these days are tree skins. As I gather the peeling bark, piece by piece, it feels as though I am collecting traces of the trees’ passage through time. Through this act, I hope to convey the memories and imprints carried by the trees—transforming them into my own objects. The performance of collecting, grinding, and applying the bark becomes a way of embodying their history in my work.
Applying the wood powder feels like layering memories onto my own body. Each fragile particle, once ready to scatter, settles onto the object through lacquer, as if each moment is quietly stored within me."
