Part of the Strata series, this piece interprets inner terrain as functional form. Through the iterative cycle of layering and carving, delicate structures simultaneously grow and erode from the larger mass, leaving elements evoking a sense of both connection and isolation.
Crafted from Ash with a rich dark finish, the piece emphasizes eroded form, while the tobacco velvet upholstery introduces a unified, tactile contrast, highlighting the added tension between solidity and softness. The Strata chair is a further exploration of layers of matter mirroring layers of self, whilst questioning the evolution of the spaces between.
