Part of the Strata series, the Strata cabinet continues to meditate on the concept of layers of matter, mirroring layers of self. Akin to time-sculpted stone, the cabinet’s monolithic presence commands attention while offering a sense of fluidity through its contoured exterior.

Through the process of shaping material once whole, independent, intersecting elements are realised, revealing a cave-like inner space that embodies the opportunity for new perspectives. Crafted from Ash and carved through abrasive gestures, its imposing mass is tempered by refined detail and rich ombré tones.

Continuing to explore the translation of inner terrain into functional form, this piece creates a dialogue between monumentality and resonance, offering fresh perspectives on the internal landscape.
