Space Lava Vases are each unique. The series is imagined as if carved in exotic lava stone sourced from distant galaxies. Each is made here on earth from 100% recycled aluminium sourced from discarded car wheels. Available in numerous finishes such as White Magma, Crimson Night and Arctic Black.
Studio Furthermore offers us a glimpse into a not-too-distant future which sees space mining provide much of the scarce feed material with which industry depends, taking the strain off of Earth's diminished resources. Sourcing Space Lava from distant worlds to carve and form, the two artists produce one-off furniture and lighting pieces. Visual cues are found in space
geology from which the studio have created a monolithic material language fusing recognisable geometric shapes with chiseled rock formations.
