Delicate chain links intertwine to form flowing lines, which merge with space to create dynamic shapes. To enhance their texture and transform them into three-dimensional objects, multiple layers of lacquer are applied—often requiring more than ten coats to achieve the desired depth and richness of colour. Through this meticulous process of repetition and layering, Kyeok seeks to capture the passage of time, evoking the way old memories build upon one another, forming a tangible expression of history and transformation.
