The ‘Boulder Series’ takes cues from the breathtaking forms sculpted by nature itself. Inspired by the organic shapes of stones and boulders shaped by the forces of ice and water over millennia, each piece in this series embodies a timeless elegance.
In stark contrast to rigid, symmetrical interiors, DEGLAN’s designs feature asymmetric and amorphous forms that invite exploration. Embracing imperfection, they boast unexpected shapes and surfaces that evoke a sense of depth and intrigue.
Crafted with precision and care, each piece begins with a sturdy wooden base. Layered with multiple coats of marble plaster or lime plaster, it is transformed into a work of art. A meticulous sealing finish ensures both durability and a captivating aesthetic.
Their process begins with sculpting the wooden base using electric hand tools, allowing for subsequent intricate detailing and refinement by hand. Layers of media and plaster are then carefully applied, each one sanded to perfection before being sealed with a water-resistant finish. The result is a collection that seamlessly blends natural inspiration with expert craftsmanship, offering a unique and captivating addition to any space.
