'Bronze Paintings' is a series of paintings exploring metallic textures. As a part of this new research, under the eye and hand of the artist, the bronze material stretches itself out, liquefies and fixes itself in evanescent patterns on large abstract canvases. The materiality of the bronze finds itself just as suspended in a metallic mesh, revealing landscapes, aquatic reflections and silky traces which resonate in the light. Far from the traditional bronze work, the sensational abstract canvases of Pierre Bonnefille, reveal the strength of his pictorial movement.
