DEGLAN’s Oak collection is a celebration of the raw beauty found in nature, specifically focusing on the organic allure of oak wood. Each piece is crafted to highlight the inherent imperfections of the wood, embracing its bumps and bore holes as unique features that add character and charm.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese woodcraft, this series embodies the essence of warmth and coziness inherent in natural materials. It stands in stark contrast to the sleekness of limestone or plaster furniture, offering a distinctively rustic yet refined aesthetic.

Their approach involves intuitively reshaping the wood 'as is', breathing new life into its form while paying homage to Japanese techniques; seamlessly blending these influences with their own styles and shapes, resulting in a harmonious fusion of cultures and craftsmanship.

DEGLAN exclusively use oak wood paired with hard wax oil, ensuring both durability and a timeless appeal. Each piece undergoes a meticulous process, starting with levelling the wood and then sculpting. The final form is meticulously sanded, charred, brushed multiple times, and finished with layers of hard wax oil, ensuring a rich and lustrous finish that accentuates the wood's natural beauty.
